The victim, also 21, had arranged to buy marijuana from Dorian Hugh Wilhoit, county police said.

The victim and other acquaintances met Wilhoit at the Woodbridge Station Apartments located in the 1400 block of Ranger Lp. around midnight on Monday, June 10, police said.

While the victim was outside of the vehicle and near the apartment building, Wilhoit bypassed the victim and ran towards the vehicle. He demanded the female occupants, who were between the ages of 17-23, get out of the vehicle while brandishing a firearm towards them. When one of the occupants began driving the car away, Wilhoit smashed a rear passenger window with the firearm.

Wilhoit then ran over to the victim and grabbed her arm. As the victim was trying to contact emergency services, the accused forcefully took the victim’s phone. The victim reported minor injuries.

While investigating the incident, officers received information that Wilhoit had gone to the police station, where he was arrested.

He was charged with 1 count of robbery, 1 count of attempted carjacking, 1 count of preventing the summoning of law enforcement, 4 counts of brandishing of a firearm, 2 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, 1 count of assault & battery, 1 count of destruction of property, and 1 count of wearing a mask in public
